both finished with four victories
forcing a tie breaker for second
place. Lawn Boy’s
spinning drum weapon
chewed through triple
D’s trademark wire loop
defense and proceeded
to disassemble the two
wheeled wedge in one
of the most dramatic
matches of the day.
Lawn Boy won the match
and second place, while
what was left of triple D
settled for third. Also, for
displaying poise and
grace under fire, Drama
Queen — driven by Samantha
Granger — was awarded the Miss
Congeniality award.
Rounding out the day was an
antweight rumble, featuring all four
First Place Beetleweight “Up Tech.”
robots, won by Defence-Defence-Defence Ant. Also, the ORC demo
bots gave a few lucky audience
members a chance to try their
hands at robot driving.
