The stepper motors selected have a four-pin
female header connected to the ends. In order to
easily connect them to the controller and to have the
ability to easily reverse the direction of the motors, a
small four-pin interface was created to facilitate this.
The easiest way to create this connector is to
purchase a set of breadboard connectors like the
ones in Figure 13.
Start with four of the connectors and cut them in
half (Figure 14). Strip the ends and solder them to a
four-pin male header. Use some 1/8" heat shrink to
protect the connections. The finished connector
should look like Figure 15.
To attach the connector to the controller, secure
each of the leads on the connector to one of the
terminals that came with the three- or four-axis
controller as shown in Figure 16. Be sure to connect
the leads in the same order as they are attached to
