bots IN BRIEF

Fellow Robots has been partnering up with Lowe’s Innovation Labs (that’s Lowe’s as
in Lowe’s, the home improvement store) to introduce a customer assistance robot.
OSHbot (a reference to Orchard Supply Hardware, a subsidiary of Lowe’s) will be
making its first autonomous appearance at OSH stores in San Jose, CA just in time for
the holidays. The robot has enough sensors and hardware onboard to make it
and it doesn’t require the
store to add any
infrastructure. Now, you

When Pitsco Education set out
to update its TETRIX® Robotics
site, it did more than just update the
look. It set out to improve the
One of the highlights of the
new site is the RoboBench video
series featuring Robotics
Applications Specialist, Tim Lankford.
Designed to provide a format for
visual learners, the series covers
helpful tips, how to build robot
components, and more. The first
two RoboBench videos cover the
assembly of the PRIME Gripper Kit
and mounting the PRIME servos.
To further add fresh content to
the site, a Build section was added to show step-by-step instructions for constructing a selection of robot
models. Starting in November, at least one new robot model will be added every month by Pitsco staff,
and a form will be available to enable TETRIX enthusiasts to share their models and instructions on how
to make them.
Another major change for the site is the addition of a store carrying all TETRIX MAX and PRIME sets
and parts, along with tools, storage options, and curriculum for robotics. To see these and other features
and information for the TETRIX building systems, visit the new website at www.TETRIXRobotics.com.
