The event was hosted by my local

rooms. There were Antweights,
Beetleweights, and Fairyweights, with
many destructive fights in each
After the morning weigh-in, the
fighting started. Panhandler — a lifting
robot made from a dustpan —
dropped into the loser's bracket after
yielding to Tidal Bore, a horizontal
spinner, but fought its way back to
the top and beat Speed Wedge1 to
win the Antweight final.
There was one very powerful
Fairyweight vertical spinner called
Nibbles that annihilated the other two
contenders in this class. In the
Fairyweight rumble, Nibbles continued
its winning streak by reducing the
other two Fairies to scraps.
The Beetles were downright
scary! Most of them were spinners,
and all these fights ended in
knockouts, with most fights being
over within the first minute. The
Beetles fought a round robin style. At
the end, the drum spinner, Snowfire
and the horizontal bar spinner,
Phantom II were tied for wins, so they
fought a winner-take-all fight.
At the beginning of the battle,
Phantom II maneuvered to the side of
Snowfire and ripped off one of its
