RobotBattles, long a staple at
Atlanta’s Dragon*Con, recently
held an event at Orlando’s
MegaCon. Michael Macht, along
with a gang of Georgia and Florida
bot heads, held a 25 robot event.
The venue — which held up to 150
people — was filled with appreciative
Con attendees. The winners were:
• Ant Winner – DDT, G3 Robotics
• Beetle Winner – Plagiarist, Team

Jim Smentowski, operator of
The Robot MarketPlace, recently
held an Insect tourney to celebrate
moving his store from the virtual
world to a brick and mortar
operation. Hobby Marketplace, in
Bradenton, on the Gulf Coast of
Florida was the venue for a small
but enthusiastic crowd of bot
fighters.
