Aluminum Channel and Brackets
ServoCity now offers a new line of Actobotics™ aluminum channel and brackets. The unique overlapping hole patterns (0.770 and 1.50)
found throughout the Actobotics product line allow for virtually unlimited
mounting possibilities. The 6061-T6 aluminum construction offers
durability and strength, while remaining light weight. The channel is
offered in various lengths ranging from 1.5 inches to two feet long.
Each channel is extruded during the manufacturing process, offering
greater precision than bent aluminum. The pattern
utilizes a 0.50” diameter center hole that is compatible
with many different sizes and styles of ball bearing mounts (also available at ServoCity) which make it
possible to incorporate precision shafting and tubing into your assembly. The Actobotics aluminum
brackets add versatility to the channel by providing nearly endless design and attachment options. From
single flat brackets, to dual-side angled brackets, these components make it simple to attach channel to
channel, or channel to other components.
Aluminum R/C Motor Mounts
The all new Actobotics™ motor mounts from ServoCity allow you to easily integrate gear motors and R/C car motors into robotic projects. The mounts are designed to work with Actobotics channel and brackets. Constructed from 6061-T6
aluminum for superior strength, these mounts won’t flex or bow. The multiple motor mounting holes are compatible with
the majority of motors and gearmotors commonly found in both the R/C car and robotic markets. Motor Mount B
(#555128) places the motor shaft directly in line with the center of the hole pattern found throughout Actobotics
components. Motor mount C (#555124) is an offset style mount that
steps the motor to the side of its mounting surface. When used in
conjunction with other Actobotics components, this mount maintains the
1.5” center-center hole spacing between the shaft and the hub pattern on
the adjacent component. Users can then choose from a number of gear,
pulley, or belt ratios to ensure proper gear mesh or belt tension. The
motor mounting holes are slotted for easy fine-tuning of the gear mesh or
motor alignment. Both motor mounts utilize a 1.5” hole pattern which is
found throughout the Actobotics line. There are 3 mm screws included to
attach a motor or gearmotor. Pricing for Motor Mounts B and C is $4.99.

Ready-to-Run 3D Printer
Saelig Company, Inc. is now offering the award-winning Afinia H479 rapid-prototyping 3D printer — a self-contained unit that provides an “immediate availability”
3D prototyping experience. The H479 3D Printer comes
fully assembled — with easy to install software for both
the PC and Mac — and can prototype a part up to five
inches in each dimension; accurate to within . 2 mm (.008”).
A heated build platform prevents model warping during
printing.
The 3D printing software supplied with the printer
features an easy-to-use interface for laying out, orienting,
duplicating, and scaling designs, importing standard STL
files from design software such as Solid Works and others.
Using inexpensive, high quality ABS filament in a wide
array of colors, this 11lb portable 3D printer can print in a
stand-alone mode, disconnected from a PC. The software
