The delta arms and platform shown in Figure 21
are next. This is a time-consuming process, as you
need to use some sand paper to sand the ends of the
arms until you got a smooth — but snug — fit. It's a
sand-test-repeat process. Once you are satisfied with
the results, the other ends of the arms are attached
to the side carriages.
The last step is to assemble and install the hot end shown in Figure 22. The hot end
assembly requires RTV silicone, Kapton tape, and aluminum foil. These are not included with the kit, so you will have to
purchase them separately. The RTV must be a high temperature type, and can be purchased at any local auto parts store.
The Kapton tape, however, will need to be purchased online.
The completed Rostock Max will look like the printer in Figure 23. As before, you still need to install the software and
level the table. Leveling the table for a delta robot is time-consuming; but the assembly manual will take you through the
process. The manual also includes a step-by-step guide for setting up the software.

I ordered the Solidoodle 2 March 3rd and received it
five days later. The Solidoodle 2 is shipped with foam
padding in a very roomy box as shown in Figure 24.
