• SF10-A Laser Range Finder - 25 m
• SF10-B Laser Range Finder - 50 m
• SF10-C Laser Range Finder - 100 m
The sensor outputs data in
several convenient communication
protocols: serial, I2C, or analog
voltage. Each sensor is in the same
form factor, so Parallax will produce a
high quality aluminum mounting
bracket that can be used on UAVs,
quadcopters, and robots.
To use, simply hook them up to
Lightware’s terminal program or
Parallax’s serial terminal using a micro
USB cable. Or, use a microcontroller
as a serial pass-through device. To
access the SF10’s analog output, you
only need to know that 2.56V is the
voltage for the sensor’s maximum
distance.
For the SF10-C 100 m laser:
(100m)/( 2.56V) = 39.06 m/V
If you read a voltage, 0.18V:
( 39.06 m/V)(0.18 V) = 6.88 m
Complete code listings are
coming for the Propeller, BASIC
Stamp, and Arduino for each sensor.
ELEV- 8 Quadcopter
Products
The ELEV- 8 Quadcopter RC aircraft also from Parallax is ideal for first-time multi-rotor flyers and
experienced aviators alike. The
complete kit includes the
HoverflyOPEN Flight Controller
powered by Parallax's open source
Propeller 1 multicore microcontroller.
A "No Flight Controller" version is also
available for use with a different flight
controller.
