through an eight month process, in a true and accurate
exposure of what it takes to invent and build a robot that
did not exist before without the assistance from any kit (as
mentioned previously). The members of the RIC began with
an idea they came up with on a piece of paper, then
brought it all the way through to prototype — even
participating in startup company pitches and demos.
The RIC is sponsored by ENSCO ( www.ENSCO.com) —
an R&D science and technology company headquartered in
Falls Church, VA that are huge supporters of STEM (Science,
Technology, Engineering, and Math) — and the George
Mason University Volgenau School of Engineering
( http://volgenau.gmu.edu/) in Fairfax,VA. SV
