Notice that the X axis was moved a negative amount.
This was done because we were moving the machine to
the left of its coordinate system. If we were referencing
the other side of the vise, we would have used a positive
value.
Set Z Axis Reference
In order to zero the Z axis, you must load the domino
stock into the vise (Figure 13). Make sure it is up against
the vise stop. Move the bit so that it is roughly in the
center of the stock (Figure 14). Using the page up and
page down buttons, slowly move the bit so that it is just
touching the stock as shown in Figure 15.
Hit the “Zero Z” button (Figure 16). The Z axis is
now referenced and you are ready to mill the stock.
